برندگان جوایز Visual Effects Society: برتری Dune 2 و Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes
فیلم «پادشاهی سیاره میمونها» (Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes) در بیست و سومین دوره مراسم اهدای جوایز «انجمن جلوههای بصری» (Visual Effects Society Awards) سهشنبه ۱۱ فوریه در هتل بورلی هیلتون برگزار شد، جایزه «بهترین فیلم فتورئالیستی» را دریافت کرد. شرکت «وتا افایکس» (Wētā FX) برای چهارمین بار با این فیلم برنده این جایزه شد و علاوه بر این در بخش بهترین شخصیت با فیلم «مرد بهتر» (Better Man) برنده جایزه شد.
«تلماسه: قسمت دوم» (Dune: Part Two) که محصول استودیوی «دینگ» (DNEG) است با دریافت چهار جایزه پیشتازی میکند. این فیلم در بخشهای فیلمبرداری، طراحی محیط، شبیهسازی و جلوههای بصری بودند.
در این میان، فیلم «جنگ داخلی» (Civil War) جایزه جلوههای بصری مکمل را برای «فریماستور» (Framestore) به ارمغان آورد و «ربات وحشی» (The Wild Robot) ساخته دریمورکس برنده جایزه بهترین انیمیشن سال شد.
