نامزدهای اولیه جوایز بفتا معرفی شدند.
فهرست اولیه نامزدهای جوایز «بفتا» (BAFTA) در ۲۴ بخش منتشر شد. فیلمهای «در جبهه غرب خبری نیست» (All Quiet on the Western Front) با ۱۵ نامزدی و «بنشیهای اینیشرین» (Banshees of Inisherin) با ۱۴ نامزدی در بخش عناوین سینمایی پیشتازی میکنند.
نام فیلمهای «همهچیز همهجا ناگهان» (Everything Everywhere All At Once) و «الویس» (Elvis) در ۱۲ بخش به چشم میخورد، در حالی که «افترسان» (Aftersun)، «تاپ گان: ماوریک» (Top Gun: Maverick)، «بابل» (Babylon) و «تار» (Tar) در هشت بخش نامزد جایزهاند.
غیبت فیلم «آواتار: راه آب» (Avatar: The Way of Water) «جیمز کامرون» در بخش بهترین کارگردانی و «بابل» (Babylon) «دیمین شزل» در بخش بهترین کارگردانی و بهترین فیلم غیرمنتظره است. فیلم «بلوند» (Blonde) «اندرو دومینیک» نیز فقط در بخش بهترین بازیگر زن نقش اول برای «آنا د آرماس» نامزد دریافت جایزه شده است.
فهرست نهایی نامزدهای بفتا ۱۹ ژانویه و در رویدادی زنده منتشر خواهد شد. مراسم اهدای جوایز بفتا نیز یکشنبه ۱۹ فوریه امسال به جای رویال آلبرت هال در رویال فستیوال هال برگزار خواهد شد.
